How the check digit works
An OIB has 11 digits. The last one is the check digit, calculated from the first ten with ISO/IEC 7064, MOD 11,10.
What this check does not show
A correct check digit only means the number is well formed, not that it belongs to a given person or company. The number is sent nowhere, so it cannot be looked up in a register either.
